Does NSFAS Pay for Supplementary Exams at UNISA?

NSFAS is an organization that provides funds for higher education in South Africa to underprivileged students who cannot pay for their educational costs. If you are a UNISA student and you have to retake your exam, you must be confused about whether the organization NSFAS pays you the cost of the supplementary exam or not. 

Is NSFAS Pay for Supplementary Exams?

For your information, this National Student Financial Scheme does provide coverage for examination fees of supplementary exams. But here are some of the rules, regulations, and restrictions that you have to follow to get funds for your supplementary exams at UNISA. 

The organization will pay funds to exam-taking students the day before, on the day of the exam, and the day after the exam. It will not pay for the transportation. 

You also have to make sure to pass more than 50% of your courses to get dependent on the supplementary exam. Also, make sure you have to submit the proof of exam registration to the organization to get funds. You also have to submit a letter from UNISA about the verification of your enrollment.
